On April 10, Yifu Primary School of Fu'an arranged a spring study tour themed Exploration of Natural Ecology for 600 teachers and students from Grade Three to Baiyunshan of Ningde UNESCO Global Geopark.

As a National Scenic Area and National AAAA-level Tourist Attraction, Baiyunshan is also designated as a study and practical education base for primary and secondary school students in Ningde, and one of Fujian’s first batch of star-rated nature education venues, boasting abundant popular science resources. During the tour, the group visited multiple exhibition zones including the Geology Hall, Geological Relics Hall, Water Erosion Wonders Hall, Volcano Experience Hall, Ecological Scenic Area, Splendid Culture Hall and Covered Bridge Craft Hall.Under the guidance of docents, the students learned systematic geological knowledge about basalt, vesicular rhyolite and other rock types, as well as the formation principles of water erosion landscapes such as Baishuiyang, Jiulongji Waterfalls and Jiulongdong Shelter. Through the panoramic projection and popular science videos in the 4D Cinema, they vividly experienced the geological evolution of Baiyunshan’s distinctive landforms. In the Splendid Culture Hall, students admired the charm of intangible cultural heritage represented by She silver ornaments and costume patterns, gaining a deeper understanding of local folk culture.
