During the May Day holiday, Liyuxi and Jiulongji Waterfalls of Ningde Global Geopark received an endless stream of tourists. Liyuxi implemented the preferential policy of free admission for the first-tier ticket, and launched a host of featured activities including holographic photo spots, water curtain light shows, the immersive live performance Moonlight over the Brook · Timeless Ancient Charm and sightseeing trains. The scenic area maintained a consistently high passenger flow throughout the holiday.

Boasting magnificent waterfalls and original ecological experiences, Jiulongji Waterfalls won wide popularity among visitors. The geopark also held the themed activity Close Encounter with Intangible Heritage · Fun Experience in Zhouning, showcasing traditional crafts such as pottery making, rod puppetry, sugar painting and maltose making. Puppet shows were also staged at Liyuxi, creating a strong atmosphere of intangible cultural heritage across the region.
