On May 2, the Deep Valley Hiking Challenge officially started at Ningde Global Geopark Yuanyangxi, drawing over 500 athletes and hiking enthusiasts from across the country.

The event features two categories: a 15-kilometer Challenge Group and a 6-kilometer Fun Group. Both the start and finish lines are located within Yuanyangxi. The race route connects scenic spots including the Lingyun Cliff Walk, integrating the natural scenery and cultural heritage of ancient trails and cliff boardwalks into the hiking experience. While completing the challenge, participants can fully immerse themselves in the unique charm of the landscapes of eastern Fujian.

As a sports and cultural tourism integration project launched by Ningde Global Geopark, the event leverages superior natural landscapes to advance in-depth integration of sports and tourism. It not only provides a great platform for outdoor sports lovers to challenge themselves and get close to nature, but also injects new vitality into the cultural and tourism market during the May Day holiday.
