On the occasion of the 57th World Earth Day, Ningde Global Geopark launched the activity Cherish Natural Resources, Protect Beautiful China — the 57th World Earth Day & Geological Science Popularization of Taimushan at Tongbei Central Primary School in Fuding City. The event allowed students to experience the charm of geology up close and appreciate the wonders and magnificence of nature.

During the lecture, the speaker introduced knowledge about World Earth Day to the students in vivid and expressive language, and metaphorically interpreted the formation mysteries of its varied strange rock formations through the three natural "magicians": wind, rain and temperature. With easy-to-understand explanations, abstract geological knowledge was brought vividly to life, further inspiring students’ affection for and curiosity toward the natural heritage of their hometown.

During the interactive session, fun quiz activities were held centering on World Earth Day knowledge, as well as Taimu Mountain themed games including scenic spot guessing and identifying attractions from pictures. The students raised their hands enthusiastically and rushed to answer questions, creating a lively and vibrant atmosphere. In a relaxed and joyful environment, everyone experienced the charm of geology and gained a deeper understanding of the importance of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.

Based on the rich popular science resources of Ningde Global Geopark, this activity brought geoscience knowledge and ecological civilization concepts, together with the geological culture of Taimushan, into the school. It guided students to gain genuine understanding through personal observation and exploration, allowing earth science knowledge to truly nourish young hearts via practical experience.
