Originating from the Song Dynasty, villagers have refrained from catching and eating the carp in the stream for generations, regarding them as "divine fish," thus creating a spectacle of "harmony between humans and fish." It is a unique traditional folk culture of the Liyuxi (Carp Stream) area in Zhouning, Fujian. It combines the custom of fish protection with traditional martial arts, serving both to protect the koi carp and to demonstrate the martial spirit.
